Belleville washers for propeller hub kit
Belleville washers also called disc springs acted as springs, are used on propeller shafts to maintain proper bolt preload, absorb vibration, reduce noise and propeller rattle, as well as compensate for material expansion/contraction which could lead to torque loss or damage.
In Marine application, Belleville washers are used in the propeller hub kit to reduce propeller rattle and shifting noise. Each propeller hub kit includes the drive sleeve, three-washer set (washer, thick washer and Belleville washer), tabbed lock washer and locking prop nut.
